    Mat Wilson

    Founder and Director
Mat Wilson (they/them) enjoys board and video games, road trips big and small, and any opportunity to be in water. They discovered a love for Torah study through the art of source sheet creation, and are now using writing as a way to explore their lived experiences with disability. Living most of their life with Serious and Persistent mental illnesses, Mat also navigates chronic physical conditions that shape how they move through the world. Following a change in disability, they started the Disability Torah Project in November 2024 to uplift disabled perspectives in Torah study and build a more accessible, representative Jewish learning space. Outside of their free time, Mat is a student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College and is pursuing a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania.

    Om Green

    Advisory Council
Om Green (She/her) is a writer, artist, and spiritualist.  She became disabled in 2023 after a spinal injury and subsequent surgery, which left her with a progressive and debilitating disability. No longer able to work or engage in life as she did before, Om shifted her focus to writing poetry, jewish erotic fiction, essays and rituals with an emphasis on disabled bodies. In 2025, she founded The Pomegranate Tent Collective and Beit Mayim: Virtual Mikveh after becoming inspired by The Disability Torah Project’s model for amplifying Jewish and disabled voices through community collaboration. She is also on the communications board for the NC Poetry society, and co-hosts the Mayim Hayim Mayan Stream for non-traditional mikvehs. Om is passionate about healing the world and is always happy to connect on disability, accessible Jewish communities, water, mikveh, writing, art, and Judaism. Instagram @ribcage.tidalwave
